Greetings Ardagh Bluffs Families,
Welcome to the month of June! This final month of school is always exciting and busy and this year is no exception! We would like everyone to try and save the date for our school wide, community event called SHOWCASE! 2026 which will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd from 4:30-6:00 p.m. During Showcase, we will feature student work and talent. In addition, there will be food trucks available on site for those wishing to purchase a snack and we’ll be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair as a fundraiser for our school’s library. We hope to see as many Ardagh families as possible that night!
Friday, June 5th, is a Professional Activity Day and there will be no school for students as staff work on assessment, evaluation and reporting for Term 2. Our Grade 3 and 6 students will finish up their EQAO assessments early this month and we are proud of their efforts as they demonstrate their learning. We are also looking forward to hearing the results of Track and Field as our athletes head to the regionals next week and are very excited for our Grade 8’s as they will depart for their two-night trip to Camp Kandalore this month. We’re looking forward to recognizing our Lunch Helpers on June 24th for their annual pizza party and movie afternoon to recognize all of their hard work this school year. In addition, our primary students are eagerly awaiting their Play Day, which will occur on June 18th (rain date is scheduled for June 19th). We’re excited for our Marble Slab Foodie Friday which will be held on Friday, June 19th. Purchases for this fundraiser can be made through School Cash Online.
To conclude the month, we will be sending home student Report Cards on June 23rd, so please watch for those and reach out to your child’s educators with any questions. Grade 8 Graduation will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd by invitation only. We look forward to celebrating your child’s achievements with you. And finally, we’ll wrap up the 2025-2026 school year on June 25th, which is the last day of school for students this year.
We are very proud to share that we raised $850.00 during Jump Rope For Heart which goes directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Go Bengals!!!
We would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to our School Council for their tireless efforts this year! Their commitment and partnership has been of significant benefit to the entire school community. We look forward to our continued partnership and collaboration next school year.
Please watch for communication from the school office at the end of June which will outline important information regarding school start up in September.
We’re looking forward to our final month of the 2025-2026 school year!
Wishing everyone a safe and learning filled month,
Ms. Robinson and Ms. Marjerrison
